Lets Talk...

Earn more, live well and build your career in the UK

If you trust Workforce to help you get your dream job in the UK, you could be earning up to three times more than you currently do, whilst working in better surroundings and developing your career.

What’s living in the UK like for EU nationals?

The current EU Law gives EEA nationals a right to live and work in the UK. This is called the right of residence. That means you’re eligible to work in the UK, and therefore don’t need to obtain a work permit, if any of the following apply to you:

– You’re a British Citizen
– You’re a European Economic Area (EEA) citizen
– You’re a Swiss national

Between January 2017 and December 2017, approximately 6.2 million people with non-British nationality were living in the UK (Source: House of Commons Library. Briefing Paper 24 August 2018). The number of EU nationals who have taken the opportunity to relocate to the UK to earn more money and enhance their careers, demonstrates how diverse and multi-cultural the UK is.

Listen to what our own multinational team has to say about living & working in the UK…

Here at Workforce we practise what we preach. We’ve helped a significant number of our own team to relocate from across Europe to fill our internal roles, in the same way we operate to help clients fill their vacancies.

If you’re curious about what the process of moving to the UK and working in a new country is like, check out these stories:

Istvan

Hear how Istvan moved to the UK…

“2 years ago I decided I needed to progress in my career and I wanted to provide a better environment for my family. I chose the UK because we spoke English and because we had relatives and friends already here.

I started to apply for jobs from my home country. I visited the UK for one week to familiarize myself with the area. During this visit, I was invited to an interview and I got a job.

I went home and came back after a few weeks to find a house for my whole family. It wasn’t easy at all but, with the support of my new colleagues, I was lucky enough to find one in a short time.

It was really difficult at the beginning, as nothing was the same as we were used to. We were so determined and positive about the change we managed to overcome everything quickly. Things like being homesick, to getting used to the English weather, were quickly overcome thanks to the support we had.

After 2 years I can say we are fully settled in the UK and very happy with the decision we made. We definitely call our new “place” home.

With the right determination and patience, I believe people can achieve a lot here. The UK offers everybody a chance to prove themselves and to have the lifestyle they always wanted.”

Anna

Hear how Anna moved to the UK…

“I moved to the UK 6 years ago as I have followed my siblings who have lived in the UK for 10 years. Every time I visited them during the holidays, I was watching their lives and amazed by how relaxed they were compared to their life in Poland.

Yes, they had their own struggles, but you could see life for them was just easier. I decided to give it a go myself and moved with my husband to the UK.

We rented the house we owned in Poland and got a job in the UK on our second day after arriving here.

We still miss Poland but we also feel the UK is our home now and we have two places where we belong. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always easy, but if you’re determined and lucky to have a support network like Workforce offers, it makes the process smoother.”
